Milani Fierce Foil Eyeliner Review:

I have had this eyeliner for some time now.  I'm pretty sure this was part of my birthday present, which I bought about a month and a half after my birthday...So, I've had this eyeliner at least since the start of the summer.  When I first picked it up, I didn't notice that it was supposed to have gold bits in it.  If I had, I don't know if I would have purchased it.  I like glitter all over my body, but when it comes to my eyes, I try to stay away from it.  (Odd I know.) I finally noticed the gold speckles, and that it's called a foil eyeliner, when I was taking the pictures.  I know, so smart.  I thought it was pretty, I just didn't know if it was for me, turns out, it is.  I love this eyeliner, and it's my go to nowadays.

When I use this eyeliner it comes off as a blackish gray with a little tiny bit of gold to it.  But, the gold is really hard to see.  I've tried using the brush that came with it, but it doesn't work with how I apply eyeliner, and it's a little to small for how I hold my brushes usually.  No biggie.  This eyeliner has a really smooth application to it, which isn't surprising.  It's amazing.  When I wear this eyeliner I put it on at 7am and I don't take it off until 9:30 to pm.  So, I can officially say that this eyeliner has some really nice staying power.  It doesn't smear either.

Now, it's not very bold.  You can tell I'm wearing it, but it looks more like I smeared it out after applying.  So if you're going for a bold look, I don't think this is the best.  I've never tried to build it up, so I can't say much on the build up.  I like the same look over and over, and huge bold wings aren't me.  (Truthfully, I don't have the patience.)

I bought this at my local CVS, and I paid around $8 for it.  That's a pretty good price!

Pros: Staying power, smooth, nice color, price
Cons: I haven't found any.

What is your favorite Milani product?  Let me know and maybe I'll try it out!

Maybelline Master Conceal Camouflage Concealer Review:

I've had this concealer for over a month now, and I still don't 100% love it, but I'm getting there.

The coverage is spot on, I love the coverage but it does get a little build-upish (maybe creasy  is a better word for it...)  It seems like a foundation, and I'm not a big fan of foundation for exactly that reason. Maybe I'm using a little too much.  I'm not sure.

When I first got it I thought it was a little heavy for a concealer, this is where I got the foundation-like feel.  I got it in the lightest color, fair, and it matches very well with my skin.  With my other concealer sometimes I feel as if  it's a smidge too dark.  I don't use a face primer at the moment so it currently lasts around three to four hours.
I haven't worn it much in humidity, but I don't think it would feel very nice after being in the sun all day.  Humidity is make-ups worst enemy.

Pros: color, pigmentation, coverage

Cons: feels like foundation, build-up

Would I suggest this concealer to a friend? Absolutely.  I really like it and, if I have to, I'll wait until its cooler outside to use it.

Rimmel London Show off Lip Velvet Review:

A little while ago, I saw on tumblr that Jeffree star was coming out with a liquid to matte lipstick and I got really excited. It was such a different thing to me, and to be honest didn't even know it was a thing.  Then a lot of other brands started coming out with there own, all of them, out of my price range. Then, I saw that Rimmel London had their own and Rimmel London is in my price range. So I picked up three.

Originally, I had two, but I went to CVS and found another color that I wanted to try.   So far I have only seen five colors.

The colors are 505 Burning Lava, 307 Meteoric Matte, and 405 Orange-ology.

Now from what I've seen and heard liquid to matte lipsticks usually dry in a few minutes, with these, it took a long time. I want to say it took about 20 minutes or so to feel Dry and matte.  They also don't smell the same as the regular show off lip glosses.  They smell a bit more chemically.  But they do last a long time. I had mine on for four hours with drinking out of a water bottle that had a sippy nozzle.

My favorite was going to be Burning Lava until I found Orange-ology.  I have never owned an orange lipstick, so I went out of my comfort zone while buying it, and I actually really, really, love it on me!  Burning Lava reminds me of 107 and Meteoric Matte reminds me of 30.  (Both of which I have)  But I haven’t actually compared them next to each other yet.

So, if you want to try a liquid to matte lip gloss, and you can't really afford a higher end brand, go check these ones out.  Besides the waiting time, they're great!

Wet n' Wild Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner Review:

I'm going to tell you right now that I am terrible at applying liquid eyeliner.  I don't have a lot of practice with it, so I don't wear it, and without wearing it I don't get the practice I need.  So, I decided I needed to buy some and I needed to practice with it.  But to be honest, I don't usually put on make-up to lounge around the house, and I don't use liquid eyeliner for days that I leave the house.  So, I haven't used this much.  But the few times that I have decided to use this wet n' wild liquid eyeliner, I've liked it.

Now, when I read waterproof, I think "Alright, good.  It won't smear in the summer when I get sweaty. Or if it starts to rain, it will stay where it is."  and so far so good.  Water does not remove this eyeliner. Neither do my make-up wipes.  Not completely anyways.  This eyeliner stays, stays for days.  I've used oils, creams, and wipes, and I guess you could say most of it came off, but I could still tell I had eyeliner on.  Maybe if I use the combination of all of them?  Not sure.  It took a few showers to go back to normal.

The brush isn't a brush brush.  (Nice description, Ann.)  What I mean is that the last time I used liquid eyeliner, it was like a nail polish brush only really thin, and this one is more like a felt tip.  You would think that I would be okay with it, since i love felt tips, but I guess it's the liquid part that messes me up.

I need to start setting aside time to practice, because I love the way it sticks, to be honest, and I love the look of liquid eyeliner. But until then, I'll stick with felt tip/powder.

Do you have any tips?

Wet n' Wild Lipstick Review:

Today I have two new Wet n' Wild lipsticks, that I am totally in love with!  I think about a year ago I reviewed two other Wet n' Wild lipsticks, and I said I didn't like them.  But since then I've really gotten into wearing lipstick regularly, and I've just adapted to their "difficulties."  I was really harsh to them, saying that I was worried that they weren't staying on and that the darker one stained the area around my lips.  I'm MUCH better with lipstick now, and I think the reason why I was so worried about it being down my face was because I wasn't careful with my mouth.  Plus I have this habit of rubbing my lips together.

Now, I'm not going to lie, it was advertised in the store that they lasted four hours, they don't.  I've gone out and had a few drinks and had to re-apply to where the straw had been on my lips, but other than that I really like these lipsticks.  I wear "Wine Room" all of the time, and ever since I bought it, I've been leaning towards "Stoplight Red" a lot.

Now, on to the actual colors in these pictures...The first is a lovely purple color called "Sugar Plum Fairy."  I really like the dark purple/ dark red lip look, but I'm still a litte shy.  They're not as true on my hand as they are on my lips so I'll post two pictures to my Instagram of me wearing them. (It's dark out, I can't snap pics yet.)  It's my second purple lipstick, and I love it!

The next color is called "Stoplight Red."  And as I said above, I've been reaching for it when ever I go out.  It's a very  bright red.  I'd call it a pure red, but my sister wouldn't.  I haven't noticed if it goes pink or not.  Some of my other lipsticks will turn more pink, but I think this red stays red.  Funny story (to me), I went out to dinner and wore this lipstick, and I usually, to be cautious, take my lipstick off with the napkin, but this place has cloth napkins, and I wasn't about to rub lipstick all over it.  So, I ate very cautiously, and it stuck pretty well.  But there was this older man staring at me the whole time.  I guess he thought I was eating funny, I don't really know.  But I can at least tell you, that if you're careful, this lipstick will stay on through dinner.  Haha.

Anyways, I'm sad that I gave such a bad review at first, Wet n' Wild lipsticks are amazing.  I love, love, love, them!

theBalm 'Read My Lips' Lip Gloss Review:

We all know that Khols is my favorite store.  It has a little bit of everything, including make-up.  A little while ago, I was in the store, and I saw some really cute lip glosses. Their packaging is super cute.  I liked so many of the colors, but I decided to go with Zaap! because it seemed like one that I could pair with my everyday.  Zaap!  is a nice pink color with a little bit of shimmer to it, but I've never really noticed the shimmer while wearing it.  It's pretty long lasting for a lip gloss and it's not very sticky.  It feels a little heavy when first applied, but the longer you wear it, the more normal it feels.  Almost like there is nothing there.  Looking up the lip gloss online, they're picture is not very true to color.  So, if you're interested, see if you can go into a store and swatch them yourselves.

I paid $15.00 for this one tube of lip gloss, which I feel is a little pricy, but it is a nice product. The box is really cute, and I know other products from this line are very nice.  The tube itself is plastic, and the top of the applicator is actually metal.  The gloss itself smells very fruity. I love it, but I know some don't.
Like I said above, I use this lip gloss as a go to when I'm just throwing on some make-up to go out to dinner.  Lip gloss doesn't look as bad rubbed off as lipstick would after eating.  In the future I plan on buying a few other colors.

Have you ever thought about theBalm make-up line?  Let me know what you've tried!

I am wearing this lip gloss in this FOTD.

Cargo Northern Lights eye shadow palette:

I've had this palette for a few weeks.  I got it for Christmas, from Khols, and it cost $39.00.  It's the most expensive palette I own. I fell in love with this palette the second I swatched it in the store.  The pigmentation was so high, I got super excited.  Every color in this palette is true.  It looks exactly like in does in the pan as it does on the eye.  I love it.  And the brush that came with it is a really nice brush. That doesn't usually happen, not for me at least.  Every time I go out, this is the palette I use.

My favorite color is "Aurora."  It's a pink shimmery color, and it's perfect I feel for an every day look.  My second favorite is "Glacier."  It's a dark blue with light blue shimmers.  I haven't used that one yet, because I haven't really had an occasion for it, but I love it so much.  "Osetra," a grey shimmer, is another perfect for every day wear for me.  I don't know when I'll ever use "Finland," or even if I'll ever wear "Finland."  Yellow is not my color.  It's my least favorite color.  Maybe I'll try it, just to see what it looks like on, but I don't see that day coming any time soon.  Other than that, I'm sure all of the other colors will be used.

The palette itself is a really nice palette.  It doesn't feel cheap, and it closes with a magnet, which at first was a little hard to open, but now that I understand it, it's quite simple.  The mirror inside is the perfect size, and I like using it.  I don't have to put the palette down while I apply like with others.  I'm sure it will travel well, I don't really see a problem coming up while traveling.

What's your favorite color?  Let me know!

Physician’s Formula Organic Wear Curl & Care Mascara:

I picked up this mascara about three or four weeks ago and I’ve used it about 20 times, and to be honest, I didn’t really care for it at first.  But I think it’s grown on me.   If you’ve been here long, then you would know that I don’t curl my lashes.  I’ve never really thought about to be honest, and I’m thinking about buying an eyelash curler, but I just haven’t gotten around to it.  When I saw that this mascara curled your lashes I decided “why not?”  I have noticed a small difference, but it’s not like eye popping different.

Please excuse Benny, I tried to move him and he'd just most right back.

I really like that it’s 70% organic.  I don’t often find organic make-up that’s closer to my budget.  I want to say this mascara is around $10.  I typically pay $6 to $7.   The color is true.  It’s lasts all day long and if I rub my eye I don’t worry about it smudging.  It stays in place.

The only thing I really hate about this mascara is that it has a plastic applicator.  I hate them so much.   Also the tube itself took me a few seconds to get used to.  It’s not the standard tube shape, but it’s not like I had to change my application process.

Would I buy this again?  Yes, if I were spoiling myself.  I’m on a tight budget with make-up right now.  Would I recommend it?  Yes, definitely!

Maybelline’s “The Nudes” Eyeshadow Palette:

If you’re like me, then you follow a lot of other beauty blogger/vloggers and since you follow a few others, then you know about this palette.   If not, then maybe you saw an ad for it.   I found out about this palette because of YouTube and I instantly wanted it.  I went to Target and they had run out, so then I went to walmart and there were only three palettes left, two were open, one was not.   I hate it when that happens.  It irks me so much because how am I supposed to know if someones dirty little hands have or have not been on them? You can obviously see the colors through the top, like come on!

There are 12 shades and 13 different suggested looks.  There are 6 shimmers and 6 mattes.
I have created a few looks from this palette, including the one on my FOTD #8

I was a little bit confused at first, because the way the palettes like this always go is lid, crease, brow bone, corner, but this time it goes brow bone, lid, crease, corner.  I figured that out looking closer to the diagrams provided on the back.  Of course you don’t have to follow the rules and you can mix them up anyway you please.
I love all of the colors, and I feel that they’re true to pot.  Even the very nude color does something on my eyelid, and it has become my favorite.  (Paired with other colors of course.)

This palette cost around $10 to $11, and I say it’s totally worth it.  Especially with all of the different combinations.

Have you tried this palette yet?  Let me know what you think!

Revlon Blush: Melon Drama

With it being spring, I wanted a peachy colored blush just to change things up a bit.   So I wandered around the make-up aisle.

I noticed the Revlon blush and I thought it was the perfect shade.  (Unfortunately, the camera makes it look pink.)

It’s not very noticeable with the finger swatch I did, but the amount that comes off and on to the cheeks is very pleasing.  Sometimes, with other brands, there’s no pay off, but with this on there is.  It was just what I was looking for.
The only down side that I have about this blush is that it has gold sparkles in it.  Not so much while you’re inside and hanging out, but in the sun I definitely saw the gold sparkle.  So if you spend a lot of time in the sun, and you don’t like sparkles, then this really isn’t the blush for you.
I think I paid around $5 for it, maybe $6.  So it’s definitely in budget.   I just know that it will  be my spring and summer blush.  I love it.

Do you like peachy blush?  Let me know!

Flower by Drew Barrymore:

The powdered foundation is PPL
A little while ago, while on my normal run to wal*mart, I walked pass a display in the make-up section called Flower.  I decided to take a look, and I was drawn to this little rectangle, and found out that it was powder foundation.  I have never used powder foundation.  I have used powder, but it has never been full coverage.  I decided to buy.  The first time I used it, I didn’t really care for it.  I felt like it didn’t cover enough, and I felt like it was too powdery.  A little while later, I tried it again, and I fell in love with it.  (Obviously that can be seen in the picture.)  The packaging is very lovely.  It's a magnet closing instead of a snap, and I was a little weary about that, thinking that it would open in my make-up bag, but it hasn't.  It also likes to pick up my bobby pins, which I don't mind.

Fast forward a few months, and I went back and bought two new items, a lipstick and an eyeliner marker/ mascara combo.  I love the lipstick, but the combo pack, not so much.  I don’t know if I just got a dud or what, but the mascara is dry and barely comes off of the brush. That's a little disappointing because it costs nearly $10.  The mascara also says that its volumizing, but I haven’t noticed a difference (maybe because it’s so dry?)   I don’t know.

The marker, is great.  I'm not the best at cat eye like eyeliner but I think using this marker makes it a little bit easier.

LS7 So Gladiola

The only complaints that I have about the lipstick is that it’s a little drying, but that’s so easily fixed, that it’s not worth complaining about, and that it is a smidgebit hard to open, but the more use, the easier it's getting.  It lasts for a really long time.  Even through all of my nervous lip rubbing and biting it has stayed strong.  I love it.
The brand itself is very pleasing.  They don’t test on animals, and they try to keep the prices as low as the can.  The website itself (flowerbeauty.com) is very aesthetically pleasing.  It flows perfectly and Drew even has a videos showing what she loves, and tips on how to fully expand her line.  I don’t see that from other brands, and in my opinion it shows that she really cares about her line.

I hope to own more from her line, and when I do, I’ll update.

Make-up haul:

Over the weekend I avoided all that I wanted to do (clean my room, laundry, etc) On Friday I went out to Walmart and I looked around the make-up section trying to find a primer, which I did find.  I also found mascara, and two lip products, and concealer.  Then on Saturday I went to Target and found a lipstick from a brand I’ve never heard of, and two lip balms.  Then later that day I went to Ross and found two shirts and one scarf.

I’m pretty sure this one is my favorite. I got it from Target and I was a little hesitant in buying it, because it was a little expensive ($10 not on sale) but I truly believe it’s worth it.  This lipstick is by Sonia Kashuk. It’s called Rosette, and it’s a beautiful pinkish berry.  (I’m not good at describing colors…)  I did find it kind of odd that it came with drug facts, but then I saw that it has sunscreen in it. (Which comes in handy I feel.) The reason why I picked this one as my favorite is because it’s such a smooth lipstick.  I really want to say it’s the smoothest I own.  It’s also the best smelling I own, it smells like sugar cookies.  I absolutely love it.  I will be going back to Target soon to buy more Sonia Kashuk products.

This one was a close second.  It was my favorite of the weekend buy, until I tried out the Sonia Kashuk lipstick.  This Covergirl lipperfection gloss balm is my first lipstick that’s an actual stick.  In the store it was a toss-up between #235 and #250.  I went with #235 because it was more pink than red.   It’s amazingly soft and glossy.  I wasn’t sure if I was going to like the lipperfection because it is like a huge crayon, but it turns out I actually do like it.  I’m actually now thinking about all of the other crayon like lipsticks out there that I’ve been missing out on.

This one I wasn’t sure if I was going to like, because I’m not a big fan of lip gloss, but once you get past the heaviness of lip gloss, it’s actually really nice.  Maybelline Color elixir in Captivating Carnation is perfect for when I want an easy swipe then go.  I love the packaging because it looks like a tube of lipstick, and it even confused my sister because she didn’t know what it was exactly.  And if you’ve been following me for a while, then you would know that Maybelline is my favorite brand.  It also has a very sweet smell.

Burt’s Bees is the best lip balm I have ever used. I love that it’s 100% natural and you can never go wrong.  The dark blue one is Blueberry and Dark Chocolate, and the greenish blue one is Eucalyptus and Menthol.   The Blueberry and Dark Chocolate is for revitalizing your lips and the Eucalyptus and Menthol is for soothing your lips.  I love them both, and I suggest that you buy them both if you’re looking.

The reason why I went shopping this weekend was because I was looking for a primer.  I did find myself a primer.  I was looking for one from Hard Candy, but it was either out of stock or my walmart doesn’t carry it.  So I went with the next best option, Rimmel London Fix and Perfect., and I’m glad that I did.  It’s an allover primer vs the just eyeshadow primer that I wanted, and it just gives me more options.  Fix and perfect is very smooth and creamy, and I have noticed a difference in my make-up besides just my eyeshadow not creasing.  I love it.

Then right next to it, I noticed a concealer, and I decided to try it out.  The only thing I don’t like about it is it’s applicator.  But other than that the Rimmel London Match Perfection Concealer and highlighter is perfection.  I’ve always had a hard time with concealer, because it looks like it matches and then when I get home, it doesn’t, but this one actually does.  I like that Rimmel London has really light products. They have the lightest foundation I have ever seen.

When I go with mascara I usually go with Maybelline, but I branched out a little bit, and I went with Loreal Voluminous Carbon Black, and I’m glad that I did.  It’s a little clumpy but if you brush right through it with either a comb or another brand of mascara, it works great.  I like it a lot better than the mascara that I was using which was by Maybelline.

I know I said this was a make-up haul, but I couldn’t help but not include theses shirts.  The first one is supposed to be a dress, but I’m not one to wear dresses.  So, I’ll either pair it with jeans or maybe some thick leggings.  The next one is a shirt that has an over shirt connected to it.  I don’t usually like shirts like these, but this one actually attracted my attention (I think it was the lacy detail at the top.)  The Tiger dress was $7.99 and the layered shirt was $9.99.

Then this is my new scarf.  I really wanted a new scarf from Target but it was around $17 and that was a little expensive, so when I got to Ross and found this one, I was very excited.  It was $7.99.  So much cheaper.  I love it.

I know this was a long one, but I got a lot of stuff over the weekend.  Thanks for reading this far, and tell me, which product is your favorite?

Wet n' Wild Lipstick

A little while ago I went out to a discount store to buy some make-up that I talked about here.  Also while I was there, I picked up two wet n’ wild lipsticks, “Just Peachy” and “Wine Room.”  I wanted a darker more winter color, and I went with a peach color.  What attracted me to them, besides the colors, was that they lasted four hours.  They don’t.  “Wine Room” is more likely to stain the area around my lips than my lips themselves.  They both rub off really easily and I’m constantly worried that they’re half way down my face, or even worse just on the outside of my lips.
I think that I paid $2 for them both, so it’s really not much loss and it is kind of expected since they are cheaper, but I like to give everything a chance.  I would give these two stars out of five.  Not my favorite lipstick, but they’re also not my worst purchase ever.

Estee Lauder!

It’s no secret that I love Estee Lauder products.  Within the last few months I discovered just how much I loved their products; I even made a post about it here.   Over Christmas Estee Lauder had a special going that if you bought perfume over a certain price, then you could pick a present for a discounted price.  I was at first going to get the bigger package, that had nail polish, make-up remover, and mascara included, but I went with the smaller package.  This includes:

I’m really in love with the blush on the bottom left "Peach Passion."  I haven’t decided which eyeshadow is my favorite.  I’m leaning towards “Candy Crave” and “Clouds.”  (Those colors are 24 and 25.  Second from the bottom row last two.)  And the only lipstick that I have used it called "Candy," but I really like the red one next to it called "Rose Envy."  I haven't had a chance to use either the lip gloss or the eyeliner.  I'm not very big on either one.
The only problem I have with this set is that the names are not printed on the holder itself; it has a plastic covering that lays over top the colors.  It makes it harder to read the color names.
If you have any questions as to what color is named what go ahead and ask!
