Beauty Haul:

The other day I finally got out of the house and went shopping.  Here is what I picked up!

St. Ives Replenishing Body Lotion Mineral Therapy:
I went out looking for a new lotion just because I’m tired of the one that I’m currently using.  It’s kind of thick, and in the humidity it’s just not comfortable to put on after a shower.  I chose St. Ives because it said that it was fast absorbing and non-greasy.  Also because I thought it smelled nice, and I haven’t tried St. Ives in years.
First impressions of this lotion are that it is what it says.  It does absorb quickly.  I put it on and it’s gone in seconds.  Also, no grease!   It has a very clean smell to it.  When I use it, it reminds me of the blue Dial soap.   If you don’t know what that smells like, the best way I can describe it is general soap smell.  Not too much perfume, but a hint of something.  I love it.

Simple Soothing Facial Toner
Both of the Simple products that I bought were on sale.  I wasn’t looking for new face products, but I’m a sucker for a sale.  Haha.  I don’t use toners often.  I think the last time I used a toner I was a teenager.  But I decided to give this one a try.  I’ve been using it for three days or so, I don’t really know exactly what it’s supposed to do, but on the back it say that it “leaves your skin feeling clean and refreshed.”  I do feel that my skin is cleaner than before I use it.  So I guess it’s doing its job.
What I like about the Simple brand is that it’s for sensitive skin, and I’ve always been told, that even if your skin isn’t sensitive you should treat it that way.
Simple Revitalizing Eye roll-on:
With my sleeping schedule, if I want to do anything like go to the store or hang out with friends, then I’m most likely going to be awake for 24 hours or more.  I know that’s not the best health wise, but I currently don’t have a way to hold a normal sleeping schedule (i.e. a job.)  So as the day goes on my eyes get tired, and the feel all puffy.  I’m sure you know what I’m talking about.  So, I bought this on a whim (and because of a sale).  I used it this yesterday morning before I went to sleep, and it really did make my eyes feel less tired.   I’ll continue my use, and tell you if it works consistently.

Sensodyne Full Protection+ Whitening Toothpaste:
So at my six month check up at the dentist I was given a sample of Sensodyne toothpaste, and I actually used it, instead of letting it sit in my cabinet, and I actually liked it.  I decided to go out and buy a bigger tube.  What I like about Sensodyne is that it’s for sensitive teeth, and it helps improve sensitivity.  I have really sensitive teeth.  I was also blessed with very weak teeth. (I guess that’s what I’ll call them.)
When I was younger I always got cavities.  No matter what I did.  Now that I’m older, it’s a little better.  I haven’t had a cavity in over a year and a half, maybe even two.    I’ve used Sensodyne before, and I can’t really recall why I stopped… Probably because I got bored.  So now I’ve decided to go back.

Have you used any of these products?
Did you love or hate them?
Let me know!

Shopping Haul!

Over the weekend I went shopping like always and I found a few cute items, I don’t have all of them in this post, but I have a new post coming up with the rest of my finding soon.
I also bought two new things, and one thing in a different scent.  (Great explanation Ann…)

First things first, the earrings!  I found these at target.  When I saw them I fell in love!   I spotted the cat ones first, and then I saw the bow ones and I just couldn’t choose between the two, so I bought both.  They cost $7.99 each, and I’m so excited to pair them with outfits.

I bought this deodorant on a whim.  I needed a new one, and I picked this one out because it said it was rose scented.  When I smell it, and wear it, rose is not what I get.  It’s very sweet, but not floral.  It also says that it lasts 48 hours, but it doesn’t.  This one also has an odd build up.  I don’t really know how to describe it, but it’s kind of like it balls up when it’s been on for a while.  My favorite one doesn’t say how long it last, but it does have some pretty strong hold.  I don’t think I’ll repurchase this one.  I’m not exactly sure on how much it costs, but it couldn’t be more than $3.

This is my second box of these little wipes.  (Empties post coming soon.)  I like the wipes.  This scent is in fresh scent, and it smells a little citrus like.  I didn’t like the other scent, and I’ll go more into about this product soon.  I think I paid about $5 for them.

I’ve been looking for a night face cream for a while now.  I’m a little weary of garnier products after disliking their BB cream so much, but I decided to give it a go because my sister told me that it’s a nice cream.  I also chose this one because it has retinal in it.  It says that you’ll see results in five days,  and when I do start seeing results I’ll be sure to tell you.   The only thing I currently don’t like about it is its smell.  It kind of smells like warm plastic.  Not nice.   This one was my priciest I paid exactly $14.47 for it.  That one I remember, because I was having a conversation in the face aisle with my sister about the outrageous prices.  (Yes, I know, they’re cheaper than what many buy. )

Anyways, have you ever tried any of the above products?  Let me know!

Make-up haul:

Over the weekend I avoided all that I wanted to do (clean my room, laundry, etc) On Friday I went out to Walmart and I looked around the make-up section trying to find a primer, which I did find.  I also found mascara, and two lip products, and concealer.  Then on Saturday I went to Target and found a lipstick from a brand I’ve never heard of, and two lip balms.  Then later that day I went to Ross and found two shirts and one scarf.

I’m pretty sure this one is my favorite. I got it from Target and I was a little hesitant in buying it, because it was a little expensive ($10 not on sale) but I truly believe it’s worth it.  This lipstick is by Sonia Kashuk. It’s called Rosette, and it’s a beautiful pinkish berry.  (I’m not good at describing colors…)  I did find it kind of odd that it came with drug facts, but then I saw that it has sunscreen in it. (Which comes in handy I feel.) The reason why I picked this one as my favorite is because it’s such a smooth lipstick.  I really want to say it’s the smoothest I own.  It’s also the best smelling I own, it smells like sugar cookies.  I absolutely love it.  I will be going back to Target soon to buy more Sonia Kashuk products.

This one was a close second.  It was my favorite of the weekend buy, until I tried out the Sonia Kashuk lipstick.  This Covergirl lipperfection gloss balm is my first lipstick that’s an actual stick.  In the store it was a toss-up between #235 and #250.  I went with #235 because it was more pink than red.   It’s amazingly soft and glossy.  I wasn’t sure if I was going to like the lipperfection because it is like a huge crayon, but it turns out I actually do like it.  I’m actually now thinking about all of the other crayon like lipsticks out there that I’ve been missing out on.

This one I wasn’t sure if I was going to like, because I’m not a big fan of lip gloss, but once you get past the heaviness of lip gloss, it’s actually really nice.  Maybelline Color elixir in Captivating Carnation is perfect for when I want an easy swipe then go.  I love the packaging because it looks like a tube of lipstick, and it even confused my sister because she didn’t know what it was exactly.  And if you’ve been following me for a while, then you would know that Maybelline is my favorite brand.  It also has a very sweet smell.

Burt’s Bees is the best lip balm I have ever used. I love that it’s 100% natural and you can never go wrong.  The dark blue one is Blueberry and Dark Chocolate, and the greenish blue one is Eucalyptus and Menthol.   The Blueberry and Dark Chocolate is for revitalizing your lips and the Eucalyptus and Menthol is for soothing your lips.  I love them both, and I suggest that you buy them both if you’re looking.

The reason why I went shopping this weekend was because I was looking for a primer.  I did find myself a primer.  I was looking for one from Hard Candy, but it was either out of stock or my walmart doesn’t carry it.  So I went with the next best option, Rimmel London Fix and Perfect., and I’m glad that I did.  It’s an allover primer vs the just eyeshadow primer that I wanted, and it just gives me more options.  Fix and perfect is very smooth and creamy, and I have noticed a difference in my make-up besides just my eyeshadow not creasing.  I love it.

Then right next to it, I noticed a concealer, and I decided to try it out.  The only thing I don’t like about it is it’s applicator.  But other than that the Rimmel London Match Perfection Concealer and highlighter is perfection.  I’ve always had a hard time with concealer, because it looks like it matches and then when I get home, it doesn’t, but this one actually does.  I like that Rimmel London has really light products. They have the lightest foundation I have ever seen.

When I go with mascara I usually go with Maybelline, but I branched out a little bit, and I went with Loreal Voluminous Carbon Black, and I’m glad that I did.  It’s a little clumpy but if you brush right through it with either a comb or another brand of mascara, it works great.  I like it a lot better than the mascara that I was using which was by Maybelline.

I know I said this was a make-up haul, but I couldn’t help but not include theses shirts.  The first one is supposed to be a dress, but I’m not one to wear dresses.  So, I’ll either pair it with jeans or maybe some thick leggings.  The next one is a shirt that has an over shirt connected to it.  I don’t usually like shirts like these, but this one actually attracted my attention (I think it was the lacy detail at the top.)  The Tiger dress was $7.99 and the layered shirt was $9.99.

Then this is my new scarf.  I really wanted a new scarf from Target but it was around $17 and that was a little expensive, so when I got to Ross and found this one, I was very excited.  It was $7.99.  So much cheaper.  I love it.

I know this was a long one, but I got a lot of stuff over the weekend.  Thanks for reading this far, and tell me, which product is your favorite?
