Maybelline's Instant Age Rewind Brightener:

I wasn't sure if this was a concealer or if it was just a brightener, and I've settle on that it's both, but it's only for under your eyes.  You wouldn't want to put a brightener on a spot.  Another thing that I wasn't sure about was the shade of this concealer.  It was the lightest one I could fine, and I still felt as if it wasn't exactly light enough.  But, as it turns out, it's perfect for me.  I bought mine from Walmart for about $6.29.  When I looked the concealer up online, I saw that there were four colors: fair, light, medium, and honey.  There is also a brightener and a neutralizer.  According to the bottom of my concealer, I bought the brightener, but on the package it said light, so again, I am confused as to what I exactly bought.  Are they all brightener concealers or was it labeled wrong in the factory.  I don't really know.  

Other than that whole confused mess, this concealer is a pretty nice concealer.  It covers my under eye circles as much as any other concealer I use, but it also brightens my eyes up.  The little sponge is a little annoying, especially since it doesn't work like a brush, and blending is really hard with it alone, so I always go back and use a brush to blend it out.  It blends really well into my skin tone, I was really surprised by that.  

As for age rewinding, I don't know.  I do have creases under my eyes and I can still see then while using this product.  Also, I still have under eye circles. That could be because I don't use the concealer every single day, but I've used it enough that I should be seeing some kind of change, I don't.  

This concealer lasts for around three hours. It will also crease in that time.  

Pros: Brightens, conceals, blends

Cons: Labeling, little sponge

Maybelline Color Blur by Lipstudio:

When I saw this lipstick in the store I was really interested in it.  It wasn't in your typical lipstick tube and it also came with a little rubber end that I typically only see with eyeliner.  So, I picked up a stick in the shade 25 Cherry, Cherry, Bang, Bang.  

On the end it shows you how to apply the lipstick, and I wasn't exactly sure if I was doing it right, and the first time I didn't, but the second time I think I did pretty well.  I thought it was a little spotty, but after looking up the proper way to use it, the rubber bit is supposed to help with ombre lips, and for full lip coverage, you just use it like any other lipstick.  (Made me feel silly for not knowing that!) 

While applying this lipstick I thought to myself that it had a really smooth feel to it.  It was very, very, velvety.  For a matte lipstick, it was very creamy.  Now, matte lipsticks are a hit or miss with me.  They can either be perfect or they can dry my lips out and cling to every imperfection on my lip.  This lipstick was a little of both. It felt really nice until after about an hour.  Then it started to feel a little dry, and when that happens, I typically, subconsciously, start rubbing my lips together and  licking them. I tried to refrain as much as I could, but it still happened every so often. Even with that feeling, the lipstick still looked really great.  It wasn't creasy or anything like that.  After two hours the lipstick faded to a more pink tone, and it felt a little heavy on my lips. With just minimal lip use, this lipstick lasted around two and half to three hours. After eating, it was pretty much gone. 

The lipstick doesn't have a smell or a taste to it, so that is pretty much a plus with me. This lipstick cost around $7.99, and I plan on going out and buying a few more, even if I don't use the rubber bit, the lipstick itself is still really nice.  

Pros: nice feel, great colors, true matte finish

Cons: the rubber bit, price, feels a little heavy after a few hours

Maybelline New York Color Tattoo Metal 24 hour Eyeshadow Review:

Wow, that is a long title.  I've been using this eye shadow for a while now.  I'm usually not the biggest cream eye shadow fan, I've tried others in the past and they just weren't working out for me, but this one is actually great.

  I have one from L'Oreal that is basically in the same packaging.  (They're so alike I got them mixed up when I first purchased the L'Oreal one.)  So, I decided to purchase this one to compare it a little bit. (Not in this post though.)  

I got this eye shadow in the color 55 Inked in Pink.  It's a really nice shimmery dusty pink.  I've tried in in a few different ways.  By itself, with primer, and with other eye shadows paired along with it.  My favorite is pairing it.  This eye shadow NEEDS a primer.  There are no if ands or buts.  It just can't work without one.  

This shadow is in the metal line, which means it's shimmery, but there is also a solid color line called leather.  I plan on trying this one soon.  

When paired with a primer, this eye shadow has quickly turned into one of my favorites. It's true to color and  in the past month I've been reaching for it more and more.  In this pinky color,  I can pair it with anything and it looks great.  

Currently on the Maybelline site it costs $6.99 a jar.  

Pros: Long lasting with primer, lots of colors, 

Cons: I'm not sure I have any...

Maybelline Master Conceal Camouflage Concealer Review:

I've had this concealer for over a month now, and I still don't 100% love it, but I'm getting there.  

The coverage is spot on, I love the coverage but it does get a little build-upish (maybe creasy  is a better word for it...)  It seems like a foundation, and I'm not a big fan of foundation for exactly that reason. Maybe I'm using a little too much.  I'm not sure. 

When I first got it I thought it was a little heavy for a concealer, this is where I got the foundation-like feel.  I got it in the lightest color, fair, and it matches very well with my skin.  With my other concealer sometimes I feel as if  it's a smidge too dark.  I don't use a face primer at the moment so it currently lasts around three to four hours.  

I haven't worn it much in humidity, but I don't think it would feel very nice after being in the sun all day.  Humidity is make-ups worst enemy.  

Pros: color, pigmentation, coverage 

Cons: feels like foundation, build-up

Would I suggest this concealer to a friend? Absolutely.  I really like it and, if I have to, I'll wait until its cooler outside to use it.

Maybelline Master Kajal Eyeliner Review:

I've seen the ads for this eyeliner so many times, and when it first came out I wasn't really sure if I would buy it, but looking at it a little bit more, I decided why not?  I got two colors Onyx Rush and Purple Dusk. 

I wasn't sure if they were like crayons or if they were more along the lines of felt tips.  I think I prefer felt tips, I feel like they glide on more easily, but crayons work fine.  These are like crayons.  You definitely have to "warm" them up.  (I put warm in "" because I don't want you to think I microwave them or anything...)

I was actually surprised at how easy it was to put this eyeliner on.  I'm not very good at keeping it on the side like it says to, but that is just something my hands have to adjust to.  The color pay off is really nice also.  When I'm applying it I don't have to go over the same line nine times.
Onyx Rush stays in my waterline perfectly, but Purple Dusk not so much... I have always had trouble with keeping eyeliner in my waterline ever since I was a teenager.  I know people say to go with waterproof, but I don't know.  I tried waterproof a long time ago, and remember hating it, but maybe I should give it another try.  

I wore Onyx Rush out the other day and I only had to touch up once, and it wasn't exactly needed.  

I've only worn Purple Dusk around the house because I haven't been back out since getting them.  But it's a gorgeous dark purple color.  I'm totally in love with it, and you'll be seeing it in a future FOTD, I'm sure of it. 

I currently don't have anything negative to say about Maybelline's Master Kajal Eyeliner.  Maybe I will when it starts to run out and it's a wider tip, but I won't know for a while.

Maybelline’s “The Nudes” Eyeshadow Palette:

If you’re like me, then you follow a lot of other beauty blogger/vloggers and since you follow a few others, then you know about this palette.   If not, then maybe you saw an ad for it.   I found out about this palette because of YouTube and I instantly wanted it.  I went to Target and they had run out, so then I went to walmart and there were only three palettes left, two were open, one was not.   I hate it when that happens.  It irks me so much because how am I supposed to know if someones dirty little hands have or have not been on them? You can obviously see the colors through the top, like come on!  

There are 12 shades and 13 different suggested looks.  There are 6 shimmers and 6 mattes. 

I have created a few looks from this palette, including the one on my FOTD #8. 

  I was a little bit confused at first, because the way the palettes like this always go is lid, crease, brow bone, corner, but this time it goes brow bone, lid, crease, corner.  I figured that out looking closer to the diagrams provided on the back.  Of course you don’t have to follow the rules and you can mix them up anyway you please.  

I love all of the colors, and I feel that they’re true to pot.  Even the very nude color does something on my eyelid, and it has become my favorite.  (Paired with other colors of course.)

This palette cost around $10 to $11, and I say it’s totally worth it.  Especially with all of the different combinations.

7 Things: Favorite Lip Products:

I was going to limit this post to favorite lip colors, but really I’m not very different when it comes to my lip color.  I was looking through my lipsticks, and I noticed that I have pretty much all of the same color.  So, I picked the items that I use the most. 

1.       Covergirl #280 Rapture

It has more shimmer than what’s showing up. I usually throw this one on if I’m not really sure what I’ll be doing.

2.       Flower LS7 So Gladiola

I noticed that this one is really just the matte version of the one above.  So if I want less shimmer, I go to this one. 

3.       Revlon #063 Wild Watermelon 

This one is a lip butter, and it was my first red color.  I like to wear this one more in the fall or spring.  I like paring it with my mint sweater.

4.       Rimmel London Showoff #300 Out of this World 

When I want to go pink this is my go to.  I’m not a big fan of lip gloss but this one, and the one below, are my favorites ever. 

5.       Rimmel London Showoff #500 Luna

This is another one that I noticed is just like 1 and 2 but in lipgloss form.  It’s a solid color meaning that is has no shimmer but it is shinny like a lip gloss. 

6.       Maybelline Lip Liner Clear

I’ve talked about this one before, and I still love it.

7.       Burt’s Bees Revitalizing Blueberry & Dark Chocolate

Everyone need a chapstick, and this one smells amazing.  I didn’t know that it had dark chocolate in though, so if you’d rather it be chocolate, you’re out of luck.

Maybelline’s Color Sensational Lip Liner

I have been avoiding lip liner because I have so many different shades, and I really just can’t be bothered to buy a lip liner to match.  Then when one of the lipsticks that I bought didn’t sit right on my lips, and it smudged really easily and I felt like it was half way down my face, I started looking into find a lip liner for it. 

The lipstick that I’m talking about is a deep red color by Wet n’ Wild.  I’ve blogged about it here. 

It supposed to be a four hour stay, but for me it’s more like a 30 minute stay.  If that. 

While I was looking for lip liners, I decided that I should look for a nude lip liner, because if I buy one, then it’s going to work for all of my lipsticks.  I haven’t had much luck in finding a light nude shade, until this weekend…

I found this lip liner and instead of it being nude it was CLEAR!  I had no idea that they even made clear lip liner, I was soo excited. 

Maybelline’s Color Sensational Lip Liner in clear goes on smoothly, and if you’re worried about missing spots when filling in your lips, it actually goes on in a very light white color and it dries clear.  I really liked that.  (I’m known for missing spots.) 

My lipstick stayed in place, granted I didn’t do much with my lips.  I drank some water from a straw and if you've been here long then you would know that I have a bad habit, and if not, I rub my lips together ever 45 seconds or so because of being nervous and self-conscious. (It’s a habit I’m trying to break.)   It still stayed.  That surprised me, especially since I was using a lipstick that I have previously stated how much I didn’t like it. 

Anyways, if you’re like me and don’t want 100 different lip liners around, and you just want one perfect one, I would look to see if your store carries Maybelline’s Color Sensational line.

My Maybelline Collection!

My favorite make-up line would have to be Maybelline.  My everyday go to make-up is Maybelline, and even when I’m trying to “fancy” up my make-up, I typically use Maybelline.

 My favorite eyeshadow out of all of them is, of course, the one missing the label.  It’s the one that I get the most complements on. The silver is perfect by itself, or with all of the other colors.  If I'm not going smokey, then I just leave out 3D, but I typically don't.  My second favorite would have to be “Crown Jewels.”  The pink didn’t show up in the swatch, but in person it has a nice pigmentation.  On my typical lazy day though, I just use 1B.   

For the eyeliner it really depends on how I feel that day.  My favorite is the gel from the jar.  I typically don’t use it though because I try to do my make-up as fast as I can and if I mess up, I typically make a mess of my face.  When I have the time to actually slowly do my eyes, this is perfect for a cat-eye look.  My most used eyeliner would be the grey pencil.  It’s not too dark and it gives a nice little detail to my face.   When I want to go dark, I use the black pencil, but I typically don’t.  I used to in my high school days, but recently I just haven’t wanted to.  

 Mascara is my favorite kind of make-up, and if you were to ask me, “If you could only choose one make-up item for the rest of your life what would it be?”  I would instantly say Mascara.  My favorite is the “Mega Plush” which I use every day.  Then sometimes I top it off with the “Illegal length.”  I never use the” Illegal length” alone because I feel like it doesn’t give enough thickness, but if you want a very natural it will work very well.  I don’t typically use the “One by One” because it has a plastic brush, and I don’t really like the way it feels, but it is very nice mascara. 

 The blush is my go-to blush.  It’s perfect for any occasion, but you have to be very careful because it’s VERY pigmented, and even if it looks like you don’t have too much on the brush, you probably do.   Once you get the hang of that though it is perfect and lasts all day.  It’s the perfect shade of pink to give you the natural flush of your cheeks.  I love it.

The only thing that I didn't swatch and take a independent picture of was the powder foundation.  The reason because it's not easy to swatch.  It is a nice smooth powder, and I use it every now and then, but very typically I use a different brand.

Make-up Collection & Storage!

 I'm a drugstore baby, and I'm not complaining.  My very favorites are Maybelline, Rimmel London, Revlon, and NYC.  They're in my price range and you can actually see them on your skin, unlike others where they don't show up at all, or they'll rub off/crease within five minutes.

 My make-up collection is small.  I typically used the same exact make-up each day.  When I run out mascara I go out and buy the same exact one.  I used to be different, but recently, I just got into a mode and that is what I do.

Drawer 1: Brushes
Drawer 2: Mascara, Concealer, and Eyeliner.
Drawer 3: Hair bobbies, ties, etc.
Drawer 4: Most used Eyeshadow
Drawer 5: All other eyeshadow
Drawer 6: Make-up and things I don’t use.

 As much as I love my drugstore brands I would love to be able to try higher brands, but unfortunately they're out of my price range at the moment.  I sit here watching make-up gurus, and I can't wait until I can finally afford what they're reviewing and what they love.
