Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel Cream Moisturizer:

A little while ago, I think about a month, I went looking for a new moisturizer. I didn't actually need a new one, but I felt like a little change. I'm so glad I did!

This moisturizer is amazing!  I was expecting something that was heavy or sticky and this is neither.  It goes on easily and it absorbed into my skin in seconds.  I don't have dry spots anymore.  Plus, my favorite thing about it, it makes my skin super soft, like the softest it has ever been!  It smells really nice.  It doesn't have a specific smell, but it smells like a moisturizer, if that makes sense.  I really like it.
I'm not one to keep up with my moisturizers.  I have lots, and I like them all, I just don't find the time to use them.  But with this one, I use it pretty much every day.
I love this moisturizer so much that as soon as I heard dry skin come out of my sisters mouth I made her buy it.  She's been using it for about two weeks now and her skin has improved so much.  There are still some dry patches, but they'll be gone soon.

My only issue with the moisturizer is that it ha no SPF, but I'm assuming that's why it's not heavy and sticky.  So I just go over it with another SPF infused product.

When I bought this moisturizer is was $17 and some change, probably closer to $18.  It's totally worth it!
This moisturizer is oil free, fragrance free, and dye free.  The packaging is all plastic, and a really pretty blue.  (In my opinion.)  It's kind of bulky, so I wouldn't call it travel friendly, but it will fit if need be.

If you're looking for a new moisturizer, and have $18 to spare, I would definitely buy this one!

Pros: Light, absorbs easily, works very well, super moisturizing.
Cons: No SPF, price.

Empties #5:

I haven't done an empties in forever!  I feel like I just don't run out of stuff ever and if I do I've already mention it in a previous empties.  I'll try to make these more frequently, but no promises!  Haha.  In this empties I have products that I absolutely love and then others that I really just don't.  Enjoy!

Nevea Touch of Sparkle Moisturizing Bodywash Diamond Powder and White Calla Blossom Scent:

I used to use this body wash a lot when I was younger, but then I decided to swtich just for a change.  I love the smell. It's got a very soapy smell to it with a hint of floral.  When I smell it, I just think of the color purple.  However moisturizing it is not.  I don't know if it's because I switched from an uber moisturzing bodywash to this one, but this one just didn't cut it.  I really wish that it did though.

Herbal Essences Color Me Happy Shampoo and Conditioner in Rose Scent:

I've been coloring my hair since I was 13.  I'm not really one to use color protectant, because I've never seen my hair color fade to the point of me thinking I really need to protect it, except for that one time I colored my hair mahogany red and it turned pink in a week. I mean, I don't color my hair as often as it's suggusted, but when my roots get to a point I don't like I'll color it. I decided that I should try to protect the color though, just to see if anything would look different, but I really feel as if my color faded while using this shampoo.  I've noticed more gold in my hair compared to when I would just us a regular shampoo.  I don't know, I could just be seeing things, but I really don't think I'll be buying another color safe shampoo.

If you've been here a while, then you'll know I love rose scented anything.  My sister likes to call me an old lady because I love it so much, but in all honesty this smells nothing of roses.  It's floral, but not rose, and something else.  I wasn't very pleased by the smell.  I will not be repurchasing this one.

`

Burt's Bees Facial Cleansing Towelettes with White Tea Extract:

I have already done a review on these here, but just to say a little bit they work great and smell great. I haven't repurchased them, but if you're curious about them, then I would say go ahead.  I love them for lazy nights.

Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisturizer:

I've talked about this moisturzer here, but in the end I don't really like it.  It says oil-free, but after I use it my face feels oily.  It has no fragrance to it, but it does smell like a cheaper moisturizer a little bit.  I wasn't very please by this product either, I wouldn't buy it again.

Rimmel London Match Perfection 2-in-1 Highlighter and Concealer:

I use this every single time I put on make-up.  This is my go to concealer.  I have already repurchase this concealer.  I just can't get enough of it!  My only complaint about it is that it can get air bubbles and it when it pops out there is no telling where the concealer will go.  But other than that, find your color and go try it.  I use 125 fair.

Swish Alcohol Free Mouthwash in the Chilled Mojito flavor:

I love mojitos.  But this is nowhere near a mojito flavor.  It was gross.  I hated using it everyday and I just couldn't wait for it to run out. It's very minty, but it has this undertone that just killed it for me. Swish has some really different flavors, but I've only tried this one, and I don't think I can bring myself to try the others.

Do you have any of the same favorites?  Let me know!

Adovia Anti-Wrinkle Face Cream:

A few weeks ago I recieved Adovia Anti-Wrinkle Cream in the mail, and I know what you're thinking, "But Ann, you're only 22 years old, what do you need an anti-wrinkle cream for?" And to be honest, I guess I don't really need an anti-wrinkle cream, but I want one.  Besides 1, it's never too early to use anti-wrinkle creams, and 2, I have baby wrinkles under my eyes that I wouldn't miss if they were to leave.  Haha.

Adovia is a skin care line to that combines minerals with herbal extracts to create the perfect combination that will help your skin.  All of the minerals that they put into their anti-wrinkle face cream come from The Dead Sea.

This anti-wrinkle cream is for all skin types, reduces wrinkles, fine lines, and it firms.

I've been using this moisturizer for two weeks now, and I can definitely see and feel a difference in my skin.  I have wrinkles under my eyes and when I use Adovia's anti-wrinkle cream, I can see them less and less.

The cream is very thick and feels a little sticky going on at first, but after a minute the stickiness is gone.  With other moisturizer I've used, if I used too much my face felt gross and I never wanted to use the product again, but with this cream it sort of seems like I can't use too much...I mean obviously you CAN use too much, but I feel this cream absorbs more into your skin then others that I have used.

The smell, not going to lie, was a little off putting at first because it smells like baby powder and a light hint of roses.  I've stated before that I can't stand baby powder, but I tried it anyways, and the smell fades so fast I don't even think about it anymore.  That was a total plus for me.

I really like this face cream, and I'll be really sad when it runs out.

I definitely recommend this product!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Five products that make me happy:

A few weeks ago, I made this post about 5 products that made me sad, now I’m here to talk about five products that make me happy and I will be, or all ready have,  repurchasing.

Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisturizer: In the past three months or so, I finally knuckled down and started to moisturize my face.  It’s still not spot on, but I’m a lot better at it than say six months ago.  I have a few different brands of moisturizer, including the Murad Age Defying and the Estee Lauder Advanced Time Zone, but my go to everyday grab is Neutrogena oil-free moisture.  It’s quick, easy, and has a drugstore price.

Maybelline Baby Lips Dr. Rescue Chapstick: I got this chapstick at the beginning of fall and I have since fallen in love with it.  I usually go for the medicated chapstick by Chapstick, but I saw that Baby Lips had a tinted medicated line, and I really like the peach tinted one.  Unfortunately, when I went to buy some the store was out of peach so I settled with the clear tube.  In the ad it says that your lips feel better within an hour, and your lips are perfectly hydrated after a week or so of proper application.  When you apply it, there is a greasy residue, but it eventually absorbs into your lips and they feel smooth.   Since it is winter, my lips got really chapped about two weeks ago, and I used this chapstick religiously, and I didn’t notice a difference.   It seems to only work really well on semi-chapped lips.  But, I love that it comes in tints, and it does restore your lips.  Hopefully when I run out the tint that I want will be at the store.
Aveeno Positively Nourishing Calming Lotion: When I first bought this product, I was interested in the calming effect it says it has.  On the back it says “soothes your senses.”  I’ve never had it soothe anything but my dry skin.  Aveeno is one of my favorite lines of skin repair, they never disappoint me.  This is actually my second tube.  It smells amazing; lavender is in my top three favorite scents.
Yankee Candle Sugared Apple: In December there was a sale at Yankee Candle, and I found this candle, and fell in love.  It’s a very sweet scent.  It’s also one of those candles that even when you’re not burning it, you can still sometimes smell it.   I love this candle so much, that I’ve bought two more jars. Unfortunately they’re seasonal, and I don’t know if they will be returning.

Elizabeth Arden “Pretty” Perfume: I found this perfume around two years ago.  I got it for Christmas one year, I wore it basically every day, and then I ran out.   I eventually got another bottle, and I’m still so in love with it.  This perfume is a light floral scent. It also lasts all day. I always get compliments when I wear it.  It’s perfect.

The day I fell in love with Estee Lauder!

At the end of October, there was a flyer in the mail for Peebles.  Usually I ignore them, but this time the products caught my eye.  It was a free gift from Estee Lauder, if you spend over a certain amount of money.   So when the time came around I went shopping with my mom to see if there was anything interesting to get.  My mom ended up getting an Estee Lauder perfume, and I got the free gift.  Inside of the gift was two jars, one big one small, of Advance Time Zone cream, a cream eye make-up remover, a lip conditioner,  a lipstick, and a mirror.

My favorite is the Advance Time Zone.

I have been using it for about two weeks now, and I have definitely seen a result.  Not so much around my eyes, but on my forehead.  It’s so creamy and smooth.  So much goes so far, and I just love it.  It also smells perfect.  It’s a light sent of creamy goodness, which is not something I am used to.  My other moisturizer smells like sunscreen mixed with a harsher cream.
I am also extremely happy with the cream eye make-up remover.  I have never used a cream to remove my make-up, but I am completely in love with it.

The lipstick is called “Candy Shimmer,” and it’s a very pretty pink.  The only reason why I’m not satisfied with the lip product is because I think that it dries out my lips, but it is long lasting. ( The reasoning behind the drying out could be because of the lip conditioner that came with it, or because of the weather.  I just have yet to test out the lipstick solo. ) Also, the other con of the free gift is the pattern.  It’s an odd feathery-jungle vibe.
I fell in love with Estee Lauder because of this free sample pack.
