Empties #5:

I haven't done an empties in forever!  I feel like I just don't run out of stuff ever and if I do I've already mention it in a previous empties.  I'll try to make these more frequently, but no promises!  Haha.  In this empties I have products that I absolutely love and then others that I really just don't.  Enjoy!

Nevea Touch of Sparkle Moisturizing Bodywash Diamond Powder and White Calla Blossom Scent:

I used to use this body wash a lot when I was younger, but then I decided to swtich just for a change.  I love the smell. It's got a very soapy smell to it with a hint of floral.  When I smell it, I just think of the color purple.  However moisturizing it is not.  I don't know if it's because I switched from an uber moisturzing bodywash to this one, but this one just didn't cut it.  I really wish that it did though.

Herbal Essences Color Me Happy Shampoo and Conditioner in Rose Scent:

I've been coloring my hair since I was 13.  I'm not really one to use color protectant, because I've never seen my hair color fade to the point of me thinking I really need to protect it, except for that one time I colored my hair mahogany red and it turned pink in a week. I mean, I don't color my hair as often as it's suggusted, but when my roots get to a point I don't like I'll color it. I decided that I should try to protect the color though, just to see if anything would look different, but I really feel as if my color faded while using this shampoo.  I've noticed more gold in my hair compared to when I would just us a regular shampoo.  I don't know, I could just be seeing things, but I really don't think I'll be buying another color safe shampoo.

If you've been here a while, then you'll know I love rose scented anything.  My sister likes to call me an old lady because I love it so much, but in all honesty this smells nothing of roses.  It's floral, but not rose, and something else.  I wasn't very pleased by the smell.  I will not be repurchasing this one.

`

Burt's Bees Facial Cleansing Towelettes with White Tea Extract:

I have already done a review on these here, but just to say a little bit they work great and smell great. I haven't repurchased them, but if you're curious about them, then I would say go ahead.  I love them for lazy nights.

Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisturizer:

I've talked about this moisturzer here, but in the end I don't really like it.  It says oil-free, but after I use it my face feels oily.  It has no fragrance to it, but it does smell like a cheaper moisturizer a little bit.  I wasn't very please by this product either, I wouldn't buy it again.

Rimmel London Match Perfection 2-in-1 Highlighter and Concealer:

I use this every single time I put on make-up.  This is my go to concealer.  I have already repurchase this concealer.  I just can't get enough of it!  My only complaint about it is that it can get air bubbles and it when it pops out there is no telling where the concealer will go.  But other than that, find your color and go try it.  I use 125 fair.

Swish Alcohol Free Mouthwash in the Chilled Mojito flavor:

I love mojitos.  But this is nowhere near a mojito flavor.  It was gross.  I hated using it everyday and I just couldn't wait for it to run out. It's very minty, but it has this undertone that just killed it for me. Swish has some really different flavors, but I've only tried this one, and I don't think I can bring myself to try the others.

Do you have any of the same favorites?  Let me know!

Empties #4:

I feel like it has been way to long since the last time I made an empties post...Yeah, I just checked, my last post was in June.  Three months.  Oops.
I just really haven't finished much.  But now I have a few things.  So exciting!

Sensodyne Toothpaste, Flavor Fresh Impact:
I got this after I went to the dentist and I decided to use it because my mouth is very sensitive and I figured why not?  Usually the toothpaste I get from the dentist goes to waste, just sitting in my cabinet forever, but I’m glad that I decided to try this one.  I liked that it didn’t hurt my mouth at all, and it did seem like my teeth were feeling (is that the right word?) better.  I went to the store after I had finished this tube, but I forgot the flavor and I ended up with a different flavor that does sort of hurt.  But I’ll remember for next time.

Crest Be Creative Toothpaste, Flavors Vanilla Mint Spark and Lime Spearmint Zest:
I received these for free from Bzzagent, and I did a whole review on them here.  I got three of them and I finally finished these two, but not the other.  (Find out why in the other post.)  I really liked that these aren’t your everyday toothpaste flavors.  I like that I could choose between minty, limey, and vanilla-y.  My favorite in the end is the Lime Spearmint Zest.

Estee Lauder Advanced Time Zone Face Cream:
I am in love with this face cream.  I love the way it feels, the way it smells and the way it works.  I was so sad when it ran out because Estee Lauder is a bit out of my price range, but luckily my mom has a smaller pot that she’s going to give to me.  Her face didn’t like it as much as mine.  It made her all red for a week.  This moisturizer absorbs really quickly and it’s so smooth.  It made my face feel so soft, and even though I didn’t use it every day, I could feel that it had worked when I touched my skin.  I love it, and I suggest that you go buy if you have the budget for it and like Estee Lauder.

Neutrogena Make-up Remover Wipes, Night calming scent:
I used to buy these face wipes every time I ran out.  I’ve tried all three scents, and the teal colored one is my favorite, but all they had was the night calming scent, which I also really enjoy.  But now that I’ve gotten into creams and oils, face wipes aren’t on the top of my list anymore.  Don’t get me wrong because I obviously buy face wipes still (see below), but not ones specifically for make-up.   But if you're shopping around for good make-up remover wipes and you’re on a budget, I do suggest these.  They remove make-up really well and you’re left with a clean feeling after you're done.

Puffs Fresh Faces, Fresh scent:
I’ve talked about Puffs Fresh Faces before, and I’ve tried both scents.  My favorite is the yellow box, which is called fresh scent.  This works amazing on removing mascara, but for some reason not so great at removing eye shadow?  I don’t really get that.  But it’s cool.  I like it for many different other reasons.  It’s sort of a big box, but I like to take it on the go with me for the after shopping I go out to dinner and my hands feel gross wipes. (I don’t go into public bathrooms.)  It’s also great for sweaty days where you just want to freshen up a little bit in between stores or whatever.   Great for summer.  I am now on my third box, but I did notice that they were really hard to find the third time around.  Don’t know why, maybe they’re just popular?

Herbal Essence Naked Dry Shampoo:
I got this dry shampoo as a sample on my shampoo and I was expecting it to smell like the shampoo that it came with, well I was wrong.   It smells a little bit like their shampoo line, but it also smells a little bit like rubbing alcohol.   Unfortunately, this dry shampoo doesn’t work for me.  I felt like my hair looked exactly the same after I used it.  So, I used it to texturize my hair on the days I actually washed my hair.  It worked fine then, but the day after shower hair, not so much.   I won’t be purchasing this one.

There you have it, and I'll be making another empties post sooner than 3 month from now.  I promise!

Burt's Bees Facial Cleansing Towelettes:

I finally got some money in my pocket, so I decided that I would have a little shopping spree.   I didn’t spend much, but I bought things that I wouldn’t typically ask for.  The first item that I am going to show you is Burt’s Bees facial cleansing towelettes with white tea extract.  They’re 99.1% natural, and they smell amazing.  To me they smell like lemons but to my sister they smell like white tea.  I think they were around $6 and you get 30 in the pack.

I really liked these because they say at the top “removes dirt, oil, and make-up.”  So on my really lazy nights all I have to do is wipe my face and off to bed I go.  They remove my make-up nicely and I don’t feel as if they left any behind.  The first time I used them, I did end up getting the wipe in my eye, and that burned a bit, so my advice to you would to use caution.
The only thing I don’t like is that after I have used the wipes, my face is a little shiny, but since I use them before bed, it’s not that big of a deal.   Also, until you use a few, it’s a little bit hard to pull the wipe out.

I love them, and I seriously can’t stop smelling them.

Empties #1:

I hope that you're like me, and enjoy looking at products that people have used up because today I’m going to share with you a few products that I have used up.  Some I loved, some not so much.  I love these type of posts because it shows that the opinion is 100%.  The products wasn't used just for a few days, it was used for a month or so...I hope you're the same way.

Colgate Optic White Toothpaste:
This isn’t my first tube, and it won’t be my last.  I’ve been using this toothpaste for about six months now and I’ve notice a difference in my teeth.  They’re not like the commercials, but is anything ever?  My teeth are pretty normal; they’re not movie star white.  So, if that’s what you're looking for, then maybe you should invest in going to the dentist for a bleaching.  But if they’re a little yellow, and you want them to be brighter, than I suggest you try this product.  I’m sure that I could get my teeth whiter if I used the mouthwash that is specifically paired, but I’ve always used Act.  But I am thinking about switching, and when I do, I’ll update if there are any big changes.

Olay Fresh Efforts Make-up Remover Wipes:
For the past three years or so, I’ve used make-up wipes to remove my make-up.  Usually I would use Neutrogena wipes, but I decided to give Olay a try.  They smell really nice, but the cloth was rough.  I liked them at first, but eventually I noticed how rough they were.  They did the job, but I will not be repurchasing them.

Herbal Essence Tea-Lightfully Clean Shampoo and Conditioner:
I’ve been using Herbal Essence since high school.  When they stopped selling the drama clean with a very fruity scent, I was devastated.  I think I switched to treseme after that, and then  I went back to try their voluminous range.  When I started seeing the green bottles again, I was excited, but when I looked closer, I saw that the scent had changed.  I decided to try it, and I fell in love, not as much as the older scent, but very close.  I think these particular bottles were my third.  These are very minty.  I’ve accidentally gotten the conditioner in my eye, one word OUCH!  But I do love me so mint.

Estee Lauder Take it away Make-up Remover:
I’ve talked about this product 100 times, and I will continue to talk about it.  I love this make-up remover, but it’s not within my price range at the moment.  This product is what made me decide that I love lotion removers, and I won’t be going back to make-up wipes.

Neutrogena Naturals Purifying Facial Cleanser:
I’ve had this face wash for about a year now.  I got it because it was natural and I was in a class that was talking a lot about how gross chemicals are, and that there are so many chemicals in US products that aren’t even thought of in other countries. I eventually got tired of it, and moved on to a different product.  While using this facial cleanser, I didn’t notice much of a change, but if you know anything about my facial washing schedule, you’ll know it’s sporadic.  It also kind of smells like ketchup to me.  The moisturizer that goes with it smells of oranges, but it’s a very thick formula, and I stopped using it because it made my face way too greasy.  As much as I love the naturals, I will not be repurchasing.

Not Your Mothers Clean Freak Refreshing Dry Shampoo:
I have no idea why I’ve never talked about this product before.  I love this dry shampoo.  I’ve used one other dry shampoo and I hated it.  (Talked about here.)  It’s hard to describe the smell, it’s very fresh.  It leans more towards citrus than floral, but it’s not exactly citrus either.  I love it, it works wonders and it works all day long.  I never have to think “Do I need a touch up?”  I’m pretty sure this is my fourth or fifth can.

Have you ever used any of these products?  Do you love the ones I don’t or vice-versa hate the ones I love?  Tell me.

No. 7 Cleansing Balm:

Ever since I got the Estee Lauder lotion make-up remover, I’ve been on the hunt for one that is more affordable, and while in Target, I found just that, plus a little extra.

When I saw that Target had a No.7 section I was surprised because I thought that was only a brand in the UK.  I don’t know if the brand is anywhere else, but I can for sure tell you that it is not at wal*mart, CVS, or Walgreens.
I wasn’t really sure if I was going to like this lotion because it says it is for very dry skin, which I don’t have, I have combination leaning towards oily.  I was thinking that is was going to be too greasy for me, but I haven’t noticed any excess, and I've been using it for two weeks.  It’s a very smooth lotion, and when I put it on it feels a little heavy, but it works wonders.  On the label it says to avoid the eyes, but I don’t and I haven’t had an issue with it  burning my eyes.
The plus of this make-up remover, is that it is a full cleanser, meaning that it is my only step at night regarding face washing.  I love that.
I haven’t used this cleansing balm on waterproof make-up, because I don’t own any, therefore I cannot say if this product will work as well for you if you use waterproof.
I think that I paid around $9 for this which is much better than $28 in my opinion, but it won’t stop me from splurging every now and again.
