Maybelline's Instant Age Rewind Brightener:

I wasn't sure if this was a concealer or if it was just a brightener, and I've settle on that it's both, but it's only for under your eyes.  You wouldn't want to put a brightener on a spot.  Another thing that I wasn't sure about was the shade of this concealer.  It was the lightest one I could fine, and I still felt as if it wasn't exactly light enough.  But, as it turns out, it's perfect for me.  I bought mine from Walmart for about $6.29.  When I looked the concealer up online, I saw that there were four colors: fair, light, medium, and honey.  There is also a brightener and a neutralizer.  According to the bottom of my concealer, I bought the brightener, but on the package it said light, so again, I am confused as to what I exactly bought.  Are they all brightener concealers or was it labeled wrong in the factory.  I don't really know.

Other than that whole confused mess, this concealer is a pretty nice concealer.  It covers my under eye circles as much as any other concealer I use, but it also brightens my eyes up.  The little sponge is a little annoying, especially since it doesn't work like a brush, and blending is really hard with it alone, so I always go back and use a brush to blend it out.  It blends really well into my skin tone, I was really surprised by that.

As for age rewinding, I don't know.  I do have creases under my eyes and I can still see then while using this product.  Also, I still have under eye circles. That could be because I don't use the concealer every single day, but I've used it enough that I should be seeing some kind of change, I don't.

This concealer lasts for around three hours. It will also crease in that time.

Pros: Brightens, conceals, blends
Cons: Labeling, little sponge

Do you like this concealer?  Let me know!

Wet n' Wild Lipstick:

For a really long time I avoided wearing this lipstick. I bought it on a whim, and when I got home, I felt that it was too bright and I didn't think I knew how to pair it with anything.  Turns out I was wrong.

This shade is called "What's up Doc?" it's a beautiful bright pink.

Lately my lips haven't been in the best conditions.  They have been a little bit dry and some lipsticks haven't been sitting on them nicely.  But with this one my lips looked fine.  It's staying power is really nice.  Few hours without needing a touch up, but with eating and drinking is not the best idea.  Drinking with a straw is fine, but anything else you'll need a touch up.

The lipstick itself is a very soft formula.  It goes on smoothly and very easily.  It's not drying at all, and as I said before, it doesn't cling to any imperfections.  When it fades, it fades to a soft pink.

I love Wet n' Wild lipsticks.  They're such great quality for their price!  This line in particular is .99 cents.  My other Wet n' Wild lipsticks are under $3. I haven't really tried anything else from Wet n' Wild, but I 100% recommend their lipsticks.

Pros: Price, quality, staying power, feel
Cons: I haven't really found any

What do you think about "What's up Doc?"  Let me know!

Recipe: Speedy Paella

I'm always on the look out for a good quick recipe, and this recipe is just that!  This is one from a magazine called Skinny One-Dish by Better Homes and Gardens.  It was really easy to make, and really fast.  I used frozen scallops, and fresh (already cooked) shrimp.
I didn't know what to expect.  I've never had paella, and I wasn't sure if I was going to like it, turns out I do! My only problem with the dish is the rice, I'm not a fan of frozen rice.  So, next time, even though it will take longer, I'll be preparing the rice and vegetables fresh.

Ingredient:
8 oz Fresh or Frozen Sea Scallops
8 oz Fresh or Frozen Cooked Peeled and Deveined Shrimp
1 10oz Package Froze Long Grain White Rice with Vegetables
1 tbsp Canola Oil
1 1/2 cup Coarsely Chopped Roma Tomatoes (4 Medium)
1/2 to 1 tsp Ground Turmeric

Directions:
Thaw scallops and shrimp.  Rinse scallops and shrimp, and pat dry with a paper towel.
Prepare rice according to the directions on the package.
Meanwhile, heat up the oil in a large skillet, over medium heat.

Once the skillet is hot, add the scallops, cook them for about three minutes, or until they're opaque.

Roughly chop the tomatoes.

Add the shrimp and tomatoes. Heat through.

Transfer the hot rice to a bowl, and mix in the turmeric.

Add the seafood mix, and toss with the rice.
Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Serve immediately.

Enjoy!

Maybelline Color Blur by Lipstudio:

When I saw this lipstick in the store I was really interested in it.  It wasn't in your typical lipstick tube and it also came with a little rubber end that I typically only see with eyeliner.  So, I picked up a stick in the shade 25 Cherry, Cherry, Bang, Bang.

On the end it shows you how to apply the lipstick, and I wasn't exactly sure if I was doing it right, and the first time I didn't, but the second time I think I did pretty well.  I thought it was a little spotty, but after looking up the proper way to use it, the rubber bit is supposed to help with ombre lips, and for full lip coverage, you just use it like any other lipstick.  (Made me feel silly for not knowing that!)

While applying this lipstick I thought to myself that it had a really smooth feel to it.  It was very, very, velvety.  For a matte lipstick, it was very creamy.  Now, matte lipsticks are a hit or miss with me.  They can either be perfect or they can dry my lips out and cling to every imperfection on my lip.  This lipstick was a little of both. It felt really nice until after about an hour.  Then it started to feel a little dry, and when that happens, I typically, subconsciously, start rubbing my lips together and  licking them. I tried to refrain as much as I could, but it still happened every so often. Even with that feeling, the lipstick still looked really great.  It wasn't creasy or anything like that.  After two hours the lipstick faded to a more pink tone, and it felt a little heavy on my lips. With just minimal lip use, this lipstick lasted around two and half to three hours. After eating, it was pretty much gone.

The lipstick doesn't have a smell or a taste to it, so that is pretty much a plus with me. This lipstick cost around $7.99, and I plan on going out and buying a few more, even if I don't use the rubber bit, the lipstick itself is still really nice.

Pros: nice feel, great colors, true matte finish
Cons: the rubber bit, price, feels a little heavy after a few hours

Have you tried the color blur lipsticks yet?
