Bath and Body Works Lotion and Shimmer Body Spray:

Bath and Body Works is a treat store for me.  They’re a little bit expensive, personally, but I love their products, and they last forever!  Also, I don’t have a Bath and Body Works near me, and I never usually venture into the area that there is one.  But recently I decided to go on out and visit their store.

To be honest, the day I went there I was feeling a little under the weather, so I only made it out with one scent, A Thousand Wishes, in their Shea butter lotion and shimmer body spray.  On the back it tells you the key notes, and in this particular scent there is: Pink Prosecco, Sparkling Quince, Crystal Peonies, Gilded Amber, and Amaretto Crème.  All of those together come to smell, at first, very sweet.  I don't find it to be too sickly sweet, but some might.  When rubbed in, I do get a hint of floral.  So, I would call this a sweet floral.  The lotion by itself is very moisturizing.  I love it so much.  It also quickly absorbs into the skin.  I think it’s one of my quickest.   It says that it’s 24 hours, and I don’t think I’ve ever actually paid attention to my skin like that, but what I can tell you is that when I use this, I don’t think about my skin.   I don’t look at my hands and think “Geez I need some lotion.”  And if that is an implication, then I say it’s pretty truthful.

The shimmer body spray is exactly the same, only it makes you sparkle.  They’re pretty big glitter pieces also. I wish I could show you, but my camera won't pick it up.  They even stick pretty well.  I can put it on before going out and I’ll come home still glittery.  But, like many perfumes/body sprays it does have an alcohol smell to it until it’s dry.

If you have a Bath and Body Works store near you, go over and smell this scent.  It’s so good.

What is your favorite scent from Bath and Body Works?  Let me know!

Recipe: Sleep Smoothie

It's no secret that I have sleeping problems and I stumbled upon this health site (Superskinnyme) that has all different kinds of recipes, and the one that I'm sharing with you today is their Sleep Smoothie.

It says on their site that the reason why this smoothie should work is because all of the ingredients contain tryptophan, which is converted into melatonin or serotonin.  I know for a fact that melatonin supplements work on me, but this smoothie did not.  I even doubled the recipe, and nothing happened.   What I can tell you is that this smoothie is delicious. It has a nutty banana taste to it.  I plan on still drinking it, and if it does work for me in the future, I'll be sure to tell you.

I'm also planning on making some of their other smoothie recipes, so be on the look out for that!

Ingredients:
1 cup Almond Milk
1 Tbsp Almond Butter
1 Tbsp Sesame Seeds
1/2 a Banana
1/4 cup Pitted Cherries
Ice.

Directions:

Combine the ingredients, blend, and serve.

Enjoy!

Wet n' Wild Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner Review:

I'm going to tell you right now that I am terrible at applying liquid eyeliner.  I don't have a lot of practice with it, so I don't wear it, and without wearing it I don't get the practice I need.  So, I decided I needed to buy some and I needed to practice with it.  But to be honest, I don't usually put on make-up to lounge around the house, and I don't use liquid eyeliner for days that I leave the house.  So, I haven't used this much.  But the few times that I have decided to use this wet n' wild liquid eyeliner, I've liked it.

Now, when I read waterproof, I think "Alright, good.  It won't smear in the summer when I get sweaty. Or if it starts to rain, it will stay where it is."  and so far so good.  Water does not remove this eyeliner. Neither do my make-up wipes.  Not completely anyways.  This eyeliner stays, stays for days.  I've used oils, creams, and wipes, and I guess you could say most of it came off, but I could still tell I had eyeliner on.  Maybe if I use the combination of all of them?  Not sure.  It took a few showers to go back to normal.

The brush isn't a brush brush.  (Nice description, Ann.)  What I mean is that the last time I used liquid eyeliner, it was like a nail polish brush only really thin, and this one is more like a felt tip.  You would think that I would be okay with it, since i love felt tips, but I guess it's the liquid part that messes me up.

I need to start setting aside time to practice, because I love the way it sticks, to be honest, and I love the look of liquid eyeliner. But until then, I'll stick with felt tip/powder.

Do you have any tips?

Recipe: Baked Meatball Subs

I think I found this recipe on one of the sites I've liked on StumbleUpon.  I decided to make it because it looked easy and who doesn't like a meatball sub?  This recipe is supposed to make six, I believe, but my french bread didn't roll out right, and I could only manage three normal ones, and one really big one.  If you try this recipe, and have better luck, let me know!

Ingredients:
1 11 oz  Pillsbury French Bread can
1 cup Pizza Sauce
24 Cocktail Meatballs, Thawed
1 cup Mozzarella Cheese

Directions:

Pre-heat your oven to 375 degrees.
Pop open the French bread, and un-roll it.  Once you have it all rolled out, cut it in half, and then cut the half into three pieces.

Next add a tablespoon of pizza sauce, leaving some edging.

Top with four meatballs.

I had a hard time wrapping the sides together.

Add some cheese, and then close them up by stretching the bread over the meatballs and cheese.
Top with some more cheese, and if you prefer, some garlic salt.

Bake for 20 minutes, serve up with a side of pizza sauce for dipping.

Enjoy!
