Favorite Lip Products!

Over the years, I have never worn color on my lips unless it was from lip gloss and that really had to be minimum.  I never wanted to attract attention to myself, but recently I've branched out.  I don't know if it is because I'm getting older, or if it is because the people around me.  So, after convincing myself that I should get some lipstick, I bought Revlon Pink Velvet.  But,  I couldn't convince myself to wear it.  I've worn it twice, maybe three times, out and I've rubbed it off each time.  A few weeks later, I was watching one of my favorite YouTubers and she  mentioned in her June Favorites video Rimmel London Apocolips.  I quickly googled them to find the closest store in my area that had them, to find out that they were not available.  Slightly bummed, I moved on.  Maybe about a week or so later, I was looking through the make-up aisle at a local drugstore and I saw a section of lip gloss that looked exactly like the ones in the video.  Looking closer, I found out that they were the same product, just with a different name. Here in the US they're called Showoff.

  • Color 1: Solstice
  • Color 2: Out of This World
  • Color 3: Luna
  • Color 4: Aurora
My favorite is Luna, and a close second is Out of This World.

They didn't have "Luna" the first time around, so I bought "Solstice" and "Out of This World."  Then the second time around I got "Luna" and "Aurora."

Slowly getting out of my shell with all of the colors above, I decided it was time to get another lipstick.  I went with a lighter color than the first time, and to be honest I wear it all of the time.  It's called "Rapture" by Covergirl.

Feeling a little more confident, and reading a review on a different site, I decided to buy a red lipstick, well lip butter.  The reason why I bought it was because the review said that it was an easy color, and it felt amazing on her lips.  It's "Wild Watermelon" by Revlon, and it's exactly like that.  It's very smooth and hydrating, and stays on for a while. ( Even with my bad habit of blowing bubbles with my gum, and rubbing my lips together.)
Sorry it's not the best, all of the other ones were blurry, also, I don't know why it has lines on it other than I might have hit my teeth...Idk.
I would have swatched it, but it's a lip butter, and it didn't work out too well. But it's a gorgeous color.

I have other lip colors and products but they are not my very favorite, so that is why they are not in this specific post.   I will later on take a picture of all my lip products even the ones that I am sure are not around anymore.

Thanks for reading! Byeee!

What Would You Do?

While looking around on the internet, I stumbled upon this picture and it made me really think, what would I do?  So, I gave myself the task to write down what ever came to mind while thinking of this question.  I came up with the normal response, and then I came up with more personal response.

  Here is that list:
  • Skydive
  • Bungee Jump
  • Jump Off of a Bridge
  • Deep Sea Diving
  • Travel
  • Make YouTube Videos
  •  Move out of state
  • Drive to California
  • Get a Tattoo
  • Get my Lip Pierced
  • Learn French
  • Talk to a few people I really want in my life who are not.
  • Tell My Deepest Darkest Secret
  • Dance More Often
  • Become a Regular at a Local Coffee Shop
  • Sit on my Porch Every Morning and Drink Coffee or Tea
  •  Start More Conversations
  • Color My Hair an Unnatural Color
  • Learn to Skateboard
  • Wear Glasses Instead of Contacts More Often
Some are pretty normal, skydiving, bungee jumping, deep sea diving, etc. are what a lot of people want to do, and they are all on my bucket list.  Most of this is my bucket list.  Then there are the ones where I want to branch out, but I'm a really shy person and it's a little hard for me not to second guss what I am saying.  The great thing about this kind of list is that it is always changing.  While growing as a person, more will be added as others will be checked off.  This is such a great way of remembering to grow.

Sleeping Problems...

Ever since I was 13 years old, I have had trouble with my sleep schedule.  When I was still in school, it was always just until summer was over, but now it doesn’t matter what I’m doing.  My sleep pattern didn’t matter over the summer, but when it started interfering with my school, then it became a small problem.  My senior year of high school there would be times when I went to school without sleep and then as soon as I went home, I crashed.  I would soon wake up a little later and spend most of the night up.  It was a horrible cycle that for a small time I thought that I had fixed, but once I graduated the 6am wake up time just went away.

When I started college I got to pick the times when I had class and I picked the times that went around my sleeping disorder.  No morning classes, all night classes.  I did that for three years, and over those three years my sleeping problem got worse.  I started using OTC sleeping pills and they worked for a little while, until I developed a tolerance to them.  I was always switching the pills around and just ignoring everything that had to do with a proper sleep schedule.

Here I am, 21 years old, and I still cannot sleep properly.  Things will work out for about a month or two, but then there will be one night where I go out with friends, or I just have too much energy, and I won’t be able to fall asleep until 3 am, and the cycle just starts all over again.  I just recently decided that I can’t keep taking sleeping pills, and I have since stopped.  They’re not good for you and I just really need to fix it without excess pills.

It’s not going very well, but eventually it will.

Also, anytime I talk about my sleeping problems I get the whole “Just lay down and go to sleep. Close your eyes.”  Or “turn everything off, and wait.”  But I guess what they don’t get is I can’t sleep in silence.  Sitting in silence makes me nervous and I kind of just lay there and freak out a little bit.

Does anybody have any tips for getting to sleep?

Mixed Drink:

A few months ago, I got this liqueur Rum Chata.  It's a creamy spicy drink that is amazing all by itself, and mixed.  This time I chose to mix it with Root Beer.  (1 part rum chata, 2 parts root  beer)

Some other things that you can mix it with are:
Banana Liquor
Cake Vodka
Dr. Pepper
Kahlua
Coffee
Half&Half
Milk
Butterscotch Schnapps
Chocolate Milk
Coconut Water
Espresso
Pepsi
Frangelico
Cream Soda

Other than Root Beer I have mixed it with Banana Liquor, which was also amazing.

To be honest, I probably would mix it with more creamy milky products but that is just my taste.  I'm not big on heavy cream drinks. Also, with all creamy drinks you should always be careful, because the cream could curdle with different types of ingredients.

Early Halloween Party!

Over the weekend my sister had her birthday party, which I talked about in a previous post.   It's a dress up kind of thing, and I went as Ursula and she went as Bobby from Supernatural.  I had a hard time keeping my purple make-up on, but other than that I had a pretty fun time.  Now,  I didn't get that many pictures, and the ones  I did get are not the best ever, but things worked out fine.

The first picture was before everything really started, then second is peanut m&m's and then the third is my choice of drink that night.

(I really need to start taking more pictures, but it's a little odd to me still.)

Hello October!

I know that technically I should have posted this two days ago, but I just haven’t had the motivation to write.  I’m the type of person who writes best at 7am, and currently I haven’t been up at that time.  I’m still trying to fix things with my insomnia and when I wake up is still a little off.  Anyways…
October is a pretty big month for me, two birthdays, one anniversary, and one holiday.  It’s also when then days get shorter and the air gets all crisp; the leaves begin to fall and everything is just AMAZING.  I know that I’m not the only person who is in love fall, and thousands have written about it, but I just can’t help myself.  Fall is my second favorite season, spring is my first love.
Let’s go in order, the first thing on my calendar is my sister’s 24th birthday, which is in two weeks, meaning that I need to get ready for a party, which means costumes.   The costume that I wore last year was Ke$ha and the year before that I was the rabbit from Alice in Wonderland.  Usually there is a theme, but for some reason I cannot remember what the theme was last year…I know there was a unicorn, a witch, a pirate, a pot head (He literally put a cooking pot on his head.), a school girl, and a pirate?  There were more, but those are the ones I can remember.  The year before that was themed Alice in Wonderland.  This year though, is just dress up.  Make sure you dress up.  My sister is going as one of the Winchesters from Supernatural, and me, I have no idea yet.  I was going to go as Garth from Supernatural, but I really want to dress up. I was thinking about using one of my homecoming dresses from a few years ago.  Half of me wants to destroy them and the other half doesn’t.  I just have no idea, but when I get one I’ll post about it.
Then the next thing is actually two combined, my mom’s birthday on the 27th and the anniversary of something I don’t really want to talk about.  But, I don’t know what to do for my mom.  She doesn’t expect much seeing how I’m broke but every year I say the same thing, I want to do or get something nice for her, but I just don’t have the money.   Last year I made her brownies, but she’s on a diet so I can’t really do that.  I used to make her cards, but I really feel like I’m too old to be drawing some ugly flower on a card and saying “I love you.”  To be honest, I think my sister is the only one in this house who gets excited about their birthday.  I know I don’t.
Then Hello Halloween!  I haven’t done anything for Halloween since I was 16 but I still love the holiday.  I love that the stores are covered in creepy decorations and full of candy.  Who doesn’t love a few kit-kat bars?  I love seeing peoples decorated houses, and when I was in school the Halloween crafts we used to basically force our teachers into letting us do them.  Then it’s all about the Christmas decorations.
So exciting!
