In June I graduated from a local Community College (also known as Junior College) with my Associates in General Studies. After High School, I had no idea what I wanted to do. I was being pressured by my school to go to college, and growing up I was told that going to college was the next step. So I went, without a major in mind, as long as I could take the lowest form of math. Three years later, and I now have decided what I want to do. I've decided that I want to go into medical coding, which means I have to go back to school. If I were to go back to where I graduated from (I don't really want to go back there, I'm not a big fan of the people there.) Then I could opt out of taking four classes because of my previous degree. But, what I really want to do is move out and closer to a different school and go there for the year and a half that it is supposed to take. I would get to meet a whole different set of people, and I would be living on my own, away from the people that I have gotten used to, and the people I'm not fond of.
I have a plan that I have to set into motion that will take around two years to fulfill. I hope that I still know how to be in school in two years. So I'm going to post my goals that I will be updating on every few months or so...
- Get a job.
- Get another job.
- Keep writing, even if it's not on an educational level.
- Save money, maybe even put the money I do have into CDs or something.
- Travel to the places that offer my program to see if I like the area.
- Read up on the program and make sure I want to go to that school, and not another.
- Apply to the school.
- Get job in the area of study.
- Start full life.
